The Dakar alternates between fast tracks, sand, rocks and marathon sections. Tyres must withstand long distances, repeated impacts and major changes in terrain.
Robustness is the priority: puncture resistance, traction on loose ground and the ability to maintain stable handling despite heat and long stages.
